We offer a selection of interesting and diverting tomes upstairs and a delicious menu of refreshing drinks and comforting pastries in the cafe area down below. ✦ No OOC gil is required for any service. Actually, since it’s Adra, IC gil is not explicitly required, either. Pay what you want or pay nothing at all. No in-game items will be exchanged.✦ The proprietor would prefer that weapons be stashed and animal friends be safely left at home.✦ Please do not engage in fisticuffs on the premises. Or do: it will give security some excitement.✦ This is an adult space, but still a SFW venue. The comfy nooks are for reading and eating pastries, not canoodling. Flirtation and affection are fine, but please do not stray into overtly sexual territory.

Peruse the available tomes at your leisure. The collection is eclectic and cheap fiction is predominant: think the kind of pulpy paperbacks that sell for dimes and quarters on supermarket racks. However, there are also sections of scholarly journals, focused primarily on medicine, history, aetherology, and the arcane. There are herbariums and cookbooks - again, mostly inexpensive and dog-eared copies that look like they were lovingly plucked from a bargain bin. The collection is clearly tailored to the proprietor’s interests; however, as a good amount of the current books were ‘found’ by Criticality, patrons are liable to find miscellaneous items outside of these primary categories, too.If a patron seeks a specific title or a recommendation, feel free to ask the proprietor. The author, Serafina Valentine, is clearly writing under a pseudonym. Adra doesn’t know where their fan letters go!『 BLOODY MOONLIGHT 』 A supernatural romance about a young hyur who encounters a pack of werewolves in the woods near their family’s cottage. The twist? The werewolves are cursed members of a noble house in Ishgard! Why have these gorgeous siblings been doomed so? The young commoner is drawn into a deadly web of love and intrigue!『 A MERCHANT’S MEANDERINGS 』 This is a series of travelogues penned by an anonymous merchant as they engage in discovery and debauchery across the continents. Adra’s collection is incomplete, but there are a few volumes detailing the merchant’s activities in Sharlayan, Thavnair, and Kugane. The stories are often humorous and racy.

they/themA humble conjurer and (previously) freelance bartender, Adra has long dreamed of having a little place of their own, a place where they could share all the stress baking they do every single week. At previous jobs, they’d habitually bring in fresh pastries to share with patrons and colleagues alike, and the Conjurers’ Guild never wants for plates of delicious cookies for the sleepy young novices struggling through early morning training. But a part of them has always wanted a place to offer up their refreshing drinks & baked goods on their terms. And now - thanks to a once decrepit and now restored property coming mysteriously into their possession - they can.

A large and needlessly imposing armored man that haunts the premises. Does a tiny cozy bakery and library really need such intense security? Absolutely not, yet Crit treats his post with an almost unsettling severity. He all but dares you to give him a reason to throw you into the creek behind the cottage.Much of this entity remains an utter mystery to most. Does he ever take the armor off? How does he see through that helm? Only one thing is certain — he treats Adrasteius with the utmost care and respect, and if you do not, he will make it your problem.

he/himAnother strangely helmetted individual, only this one is much smaller and neurotic. Pay no mind to this man's questionable alias, he's perfectly trustworthy so long as you don't engage him in any games of chance.Whenever Cheats is not busy at his clinic or getting chased down for money he owes, he will occasionally help out Adra at the bakery. He's an affable soul, great at listening or taking your mind off things with idle chatter. He's certainly far more pleasant than the other guy.
